Barnes-Jewish Hospital is the largest hospital in the state of Missouri. It is the adult teaching hospital for Washington University School of Medicine, and is located in St. Louis, Missouri. It is consistently rated one of the top hospitals in the United States by U.S. News & World Report and in 2012-13, it was ranked 6th-best medical center overall.
In the Fall of 2012, BJH’s Health Information Department contacted HITS Scanning Solutions, a partner for over 12 years, to help solve an ever growing problem, that was about to get worse with a department move coming in early 2013.
BJH had over 30,000 microfilm rolls and numerous microfiche jackets, which were accessed daily and taking up valuable square footage.
BJH and HITS Scanning Solutions quickly worked out a solution that would meet the BJH relocation deadlines and yearly budget. HITS was tasked destruction of the Microfilm/fiche.
The Health Information Department at Barnes-Jewish Hospital is looking forward to continuing this successful partnership with HITS Scanning Solutions to handle any scanning needs. It is with great pleasure I recommend HITS Scanning Solutions for any outsourced scanning project!
